Mailbox Monday

Mailbox Monday is currently being hosted by Life in the Thumb this August.

I should call this 'Sarah went to Borders....again'. Really, I only went to look at the history books, but the ones I'd seen before were gone, and am pondering rejoining History Book Club, so the ones I might get for that, I waited on. But actually this will be for a couple Borders visits (willpower, I have little).

Sharpe's Triumph and Sharpe's Fortress by Bernard Cornwell
The Map of Time by Felix J. Palma (fly paper and dust jacket are too pretty)
In Search of the Rose Notes by Emily Arsenault
Daughters of the Witching Hill by Mary Sharratt
The Girl who Chased the Moon by Sarah Addison Allen (I was like 295 on the PBS list, and that was the short list)
Daughters of Rome by Kate Quinn
The Memoirs of Cleopatra by Margaret George
Death in Salem by Diane Foulds
Graceling by Kristin Cashore (loved when I checked it out from the library. Thought was sold out, but found a hardcover in the bargin priced area)
America the Edible by Adam Richman
I Shall Wear Midnight by Terry Pratchett

From Paperback Swap
Questionable Remains by Beverly Connor

Barnes and Nobles
The Endless Forest by Sara Donati (carpe diem- Amazon had stopped carrying the hardcover)

Ebay
Lake in the Clouds by Sara Donati

Library, sale or checkout
Desiree by Annemarie Selinko
Codex by Lev Grossman
The River King by Alice Hoffman
Graveminder by Melissa Marr
Ink Exchange by Melissa Marr
Beneath a Marble Sky by John Shors

Library Thing Member Giveaways
Artemis Rising by Cheri Lasota

Found this on Goodreads today, and it basically explains what happens to me near a book sale

"I am simply a 'book drunkard.' Books have the same irresistible temptation for me that liquor has for its devotee. I cannot withstand them." — L.M. Montgomery

I'm going to need to lay off the readalongs and monthly readings in the groups so I can get through some of these. At least get through some I probably won't keep and can post to PBS and get through review books.

Wow! Awesome mailbox, Sarah. You have got lots of great reading ahead of you :-)

I just need more time to read. Or some spells to handle cleaning and cooking.

Great list of books! I, too, can simply not go into a bookstore and "get just one". My TBR bookshelf is now officially double-stacked full on both top shelves and has books stacked on top. I. must. not. buy. any. more. books. until the double-stacks are gone (right! like THAT will happen!) Enjoy all of the great reads!

Julie, mine are the same way. Except I'm moving some to storage, so have a little space. I told myself in May that I wouldn't buy any until August, and clearly that did not happen.
