Snapshot Saturday- Stitchery

This year I am trying to do more of my needle work. I have countless patterns, kits and a few long suffering in progress pieces. So around New Years I pulled out one of the kits, intended as a possible generic Christmas gift, and got cracking. I've been working on this while I've watched tv in the evenings, so my reading progress is not so quick. I aim to get a couple reviews. Completely forgot that I needed one for Classic's Club book.

Beautiful needle work! I used to do embroidery when I was in high school. I certainly don't have the patience for it now. Have a great day!

I can't even see the top of my sewing table. It is piled with debris and UFOs. Just not enough hours in the day.

I too, do stitchery while watcing TV. I used to do counted cross-stitch exclusively, but my eyes gave me such problems, I quit. Now I am just doing redwork style embroidery. And with trying to keep up with reading challenges, I seem to have very large piles of unfinished projects or books.
I cannot do the smaller stitch count in cross stitch now. Probably 14 count, if I were to do it. Your project looks interesting.
Sometimes I like the 18 or 20 count projects. Makes some of the stitches easier, but also easier to mess up on the counting.
I've not tried any of the blackwork or such styles yet. After trying to decipher the 6-8 golden to light brown shades in starting this kit, the monotone styles does sound appealing.
Me too. One of the long suffering projects I have was a kit I started in grad school 10 years ago. and it is just about finished too.

We could definitely use some clones. One for crafts, one for reading and one for the more tedious RL things like cleaning.
I have one I started for a cousin's wedding probably 5 years ago. I guess I'll save it for a big anniversary.

I find it relaxing. Keeps my hand busy, but not a whole lot of thinking required. Until I realize I've miscounted and have to adjust a fix.

That looks like it's going to be very pretty! I have no patience for cross stitch and haven't ever finished a project (though "ever" is kind of silly to use as a description since I had only started two of them).
